Since 1995, Makeyla Solutions has implemented
over 20 accounting system throughout Jamaica – including retail,
financial, telecommunication, medical and government. Makeyla
Solutions is known to deliver projects on time and on budget.
We continue to be a vital resource for our clients well after
implementation. Here is a sample of our ERP projects.
Government Agency
This government agency had outgrown its Peachtree
accounting software and chose to migrate to Sage PFW ERP.
Makeyla
Solutions was contracted to implemented the core back office
modules, Inventory, Purchase Order and Fixed Asset modules.
The Jamaican Government requires a number of segments to report
on and therefore the premier ledger was chosen to accommodate
the account structure.
This agency now has the functionality
in FRx Financial reporter to generate various reports on multiple
segments. The Fixed Asset module has allowed them to keep track
of their assets at their multiple locations island-wide using
an automated scanner and labeling system that interfaces directly
to the Fixed Asset module.
Insurance Company
One of the largest insurance
companies in Jamaica, contracted Makeyla Solutions in 2002
for consultancy services to upgrade their Platinum for
Windows software to version 4.8.
Since then we have been updating
their system with the latest Sage PFW release.
We have also
embarked on additional projects such as re-designing the chart
of accounts structure from DOS standard 8 character chart of
account code to a chart of account structure that allows them
to report on their cost centers. Current and historical transaction
was updated to represent the new chart of accounts.
The staff
has been re-trained and now enjoys fully functional accounting
software, utilizing features such as Altec MICR laser cheques.
Department Store
This department store had been using aspects
of Platinum for DOS since 1995. Makeyla Solutions was contracted
in 2000 to implement the full range for Sage PFW ERP (formerly
Platinum for Windows) to its fullest:
- Chart of Accounts was
recreated to represent the business processes.
- Cheque printing configured
- FRx Reports designed to capture
the various cost centers of the store as well as consolidated
reports for the branches.
- Staff training
Government – Parish Councils
The Parish Councils are implementing an accounting
solution as part of their reform process. Makeyla Solutions
has successfully implemented 2 sites so far with the plan to
roll out the implementation process to all parish councils
island wide.
Makeyla Solutions was contracted in 2002 to implement
Epicor Enterprise to the local parish councils.
Additionally
we have created a vertical application for cash receipts processing
that interfaces directly with the accounts receivable module.
This allows the council to keep print a receipt for each customer
for the appropriate revenue type, while automatically updating
the sytem.
